In this essay, I’ll give you 10 methods to determine your website quality.
1. Cached Pages. Surf Google, and search for site:domain.com
Example: site:seekposition.com
That’s how I can check how many pages of my website Google has indexed. This is easy, and of course – more indexed webpages = better. That means more quality content. Forums might be excellent – Each topic = content+new page.
2. BackLinks. The number of people linking to you. Remember! Its not just about quality, and its not just about quantity. You need to combine both of them for good results. This is very very important. Check Backlinks.
3. Age of domain. Search Engines like old domain. The older it is – the better. This is not much important – but still, it helps. When you are moving to a new site, Remember to do 301 transfers to your new domain
4. PageRank – This factor is decided by Back Links only. Here its matter a bit more about quality. This is not a very important factor, but people tend to think it is.
5. Title. Your websites title. This is a VERY important factor relating your Google Position. You should Check Your Google Position at least every 6 days – To see if changes you made are making your position better
6. Meta Tags. HTML Meta Tags such as Keywords and Description are realy important, so use them well. Meta Keywords is less important in this days, but Meta Description still plays an important act – when people search for your website, that is what they’ll see.
7. Domain. It has been proven that domain name containing the keywords can really help. Choose your domain carefully – It might be a very important factor.
8. Text. Text Text Text. Text is almost the most major part about ranking. It doesn’t matter if you are number 1, If you don’t have what the visitor wants – he’ll leave. All Search Engines LOVE text. especially quality text. But, don’t copy text – you might get punished for that. Google treats text-copying really hard – so watch out.
9. Bounces. Search Engines Can Check if a visitor visits a webpage by searching it, and then immediately after entering – leave it. So don’t try to rank in the wrong keywords. If you have a website about dogs – you don’t need to be number one when people search for “horses”. This can extremely affect your Google position.
10. UnKnown. Nobody know what is all SearchEngines factors. Never trust someone who promises to make sure you will be number one. The same amount of money you pay – everyone else can pay.
