I work for a company called “Call and Answer.” We answer any random question any random person might have on any random subject. Surprisingly, the most questions we get each day are about filing bankruptcy. We get questions from how to bathe a dog to how to fix your cable, how to defrag your computer, but the majority of the questions that people ask are on filing bankruptcy. Today alone we got about sixty three people who called to ask about help with filing bankruptcy. You would think these people have friends or family members who are able to help them out, but whenever someone calls about it they sound so scared and alone, like they have no idea what they are doing and are extremely desperate for any sort of help they can get. It depresses me, thinking of all those people out there who are looking for help with filing bankruptcy. They make it sound like that is their last option – like they’ve tried everything else and now they just don’t know what else to do, so they have to begin working on filing bankruptcy. It’s sad to hear a small, timid voice on the other line asking such a serious question when all the other ones who call are just curious about something. These people really need help. I try so hard to find as much information on filing bankruptcy as I can but I feel like it’s useless because there is a much bigger way to be helping them.
