Questions About Bankruptcy On A Higher Plateau

Questions about bankruptcy should not be in the forefront of concern for people who are suffering from serious medical issues. Neither should bankruptcy questions be a concern of people who honestly wanted to create a career for themselves so that they could support themselves and contribute to the community. Bankruptcy questions ought to only be the concern of people whose intentions were less than noble, whose intentions were motivated by greed. There should be an instrument that measures greed, hatred and ignorance, the three poisons according to Buddhist theory. If we had such an instrument then we might be able to prevent a lot of suffering. Rather than money being the measure of success no matter whether a person was despicable or not, the measure of a person would be their goodness and generosity. A Rabbi once wrote a book entitled ‘Why Bad Things Happen to Good People’. I never read it. Maybe one day I will. The title alone said it all. It may be that even though good people are forced into bankruptcy that on a higher plateau, an unseen level, how they go through it, the lessons they learn from it, is the test and for the forging of soul depth. You agree?
