Another more hands on type of role working for the council is a gardener. Another area mostly ran by the council are different leisure facilities within a local community. The council will normally be accountable for the everyday running and maintenance of these facilities, which may include things such as a swimming pool, or a children’s play park, or maybe even a skate park for older children. The local council may also direct the organisation and running of large events, such as a local music festival. These different Careers are all typically incredibly challenging and demanding, and require people to take on a great deal of responsibilities. However they are also incredibly rewarding and can have a big effect on people’s lives.
